Fall is without a doubt, unequivocally, my favorite time of the year.  It pleases all senses with it's scents, sights, and sounds.  Warm apple pie. Crackling fires. Vibrant colored leaves.  When September 1st appears on my calendar I begin preparing for Autumn.  I'll restrain from putting mums and pumpkins on my front porch for at least a few more weeks, but it is time to start thinking about decorating for the season.  Whether you bring all elements of harvest into your home to the point neighbors think you constructed a barn around your house, or you simply put a wreath on your front door, decorating with the season's elements will make your home feel warm and inviting.

Not much of a decorator?  Not a problem.  Add these four elements to your front entrance and you'll be set.

1.  A Wreath - see examples below
2.  Pumpkins - I like to mix the white and orange ones
3.  Mums - go for bright oranges and purple
4.  Lantern - iron and wood lanterns are available in most home decor and hardware stores now
